Local children - Kampi Ya Moto
Visoi Children's Centre International, founded in 2007, has been set up to provide a home and education for orphaned children in the settlement of Kampi Ya Moto in the Rift Valley of Kenya.
This is an area of high unemployment, and of a high mortality rate specifically because of Aids related illnesses. There are large numbers of children in Kampi Ya Moto - estimates put this at around 500 - who have been orphaned because of this. Many of the children are also infected. All these children rely on what little support they can get from an already impoverished community.
The aim of Visoi is to build an orphanage to house some of the worst affected children, providing them with safety, medical care, sustainance, and education.
